The Funicular del Tibidabo is an old cable-railway which was inaugurated in 1901. It will take you from the Plaça del Doctor Andreu where the Tramvia Blau (“The Blue Tram”), survivor of the old Barcelona, ends its short but nice journey, to the top of the Tibidabo mountain at 512 meters high. There, you'll discover the Tibidabo amusement park, a telecommunication tower and a Catholic Church with the "Sacred Heart of Jesus" sculpture at its top, overlooking the city.
How to get on the funicular del Tibidabo?
To take the Funicular del Tibidabo you first have to take the train(FGC) number 7 until “Avenida Tibidabo”. Then, to reach the funicular, you can either jump on the Tramvia Blau or simply take the bus number 196. Both will take you to the departure place.
