Museum of Contemporary Art Barcelona

The permanent collection of around 5,000 works dates from the mid-20th century onward. You can find three periods of modern art represented: the first period covers the forties to the sixties; the second period spans the sixties and seventies; the third period is contemporary. The collections focus on post-1945 Catalan and Spanish art, although some International artists are also represented.

The MACBA museum keeps also an important work of international artists in changing exhibitions. The most famous are Tàpies, Fontana, Saura and Klee. The focus is set on the second half of the 20th Century. Since the exhibitions every 3-6 months change and it is better being informed about the current exhibitions before a visit is done.

You can also benefit from a ticket valid for 1 month and enjoy multiple entries. Daily tours are also included in your admission price, and the augmented reality app will make your visit amazing. You can also discover this museum with our vespas for a memorable experience.
