NEW YEAR’S EVE IN BARCELONA

Let’s toast together on December 31st! Barcelona is one of the most amazing places to celebrate the New Year’s Eve 2015. The best thing is that there isn’t a single location where people celebrate the end of the year, you have a wide range of possible options for the evening, both early and late in the night. Make the first night of 2015 an unforgettable night in your life!

New Year’s Eve in Barcelona is Nochevieja in Spanish and Cap d’Any in Catalan, and it means “the old night”. Of course, also in Spain there are some traditions to follow for good luck.

At every chime of the clock to midnight eat 12 grapes and make a wish, wear red underwear, and possibly, enjoy a glass of cava (Spanish champagne) to welcome the New Year.

Where to go

Plaça de Catalunya is one of the most popular destination for locals and tourists, with around 50,000 people gathering together. La Rambla will certainly be crowded as well.

The Agbar Tower has traditionally celebrated New Year dressing up with many colours. However, this is just a light show and it doesn’t involve any music or fireworks, so it won’t probably be the best place to celebrate your night.

One of the best location will surely be the Magic Fountain of Montjuic with its own New Year’s Eve show.

Water, colours, music and fireworks will be dancing simultaneously to amaze you.

After that, many bars, pubs, and clubs organize parties for all the tastes.
