You must know
Opening times: most of the shops and shopping centers are open from 10 am to 8.30 pm and some of them until 9.30 pm; and for traditional shops is from 10 am to 2 pm (lunch time) and then from 4.30 pm to 8.30 pm.
There are always exceptions, so don’t expect to shop on Christmas Day or New Year’s if that is part of your plan. Also, almost all Barcelona shops are closed on September 11, for the National Day of Catalonia.
Besides, most shops in the city are closed on Sunday, so be aware. Your only choices may be La Roca Village and Maremagnum Shopping Centre.

What to shop for in Barcelona with limited budget

Lately, Barcelona has become known for its increasing outlet stores, which are points of sale specialized in selling product at lower prices for stuck purposes and changes of season; most are brand stores and some even are malls that group others, like La Roca Village, Bulevard Rosa, Montana Outlet, Nice Things Outlet, etc.
La Roca Village is an outlet shopping village with over 100 shops, that offer discounts of up to 70% off regular prices. It is located about 40 minutes northeast of Barcelona in Santa Agnès town. Also, they give you a tax refund if you are a non-EU citizen. It is open from 10 am to 10 pm daily.

Diagonal Mar
It is located about 300 meters from the very well-known Mar Bella beach and it’s famous because its Barcelona’s most central Primark location, becoming a great place for clothing deals.
An additional tip: tourists with bus touristic tickets get a special tourist card and get access to 30% discounts at more than 70 stores. From Monday to Saturday it’s open from 10 am to 10 pm.
Centro Comercial Glories
It is brand new and has over 160 shops perfect for buying clothes. It even has a cinema and a Carrefour Hypermarket; also offers food and gourmet options. From Monday to Saturday it’s open from 10 am to 10 pm.
Las Arenas Shopping Centre
The amazing history behind this place is that it’s the only shopping mall in the world opened in an ex bullfighting arena!
You’ll find modern shops all about mid- range fashion. Also, it has great restaurants and a beautiful architecture to enjoy during your visit, you’ll get a spectacular view of Plaça de Espanya and Montjuic. From Monday to Saturday it’s open from 10 am to 10 pm.
Maremagnum Shopping Centre
It’s the only mall open on Sunday! So, this medium sized mall offers the classics of clothes shopping: Lefties, H&M, Pull & Bear, Mango, and – of course- the Barcelona FC Official Store. It’s open daily from 10 am to 10 pm.
For foodies’ lovers
Gourmet purchase is another option in Barcelona, and it’s unisex! Barcelona is the perfect city for foodie lovers and even if you want to buy some products to bring home. You can enjoy delicious options like: chorizo, jams, bellota ham, loin from the south of the country, Catalan sausages, a wide variety of cheeses and wines from the Empordà, Penedès, Cava, Tarragona.
